About Seed Envy
Nature gets it right, so we get it from nature.
The seeds that I sell are organic, grown in my own garden without the use of pesticides. The plants are loved from seed sowing to harvest.
I've had a passion for growing my own since before my children (who are now teens) came along. A few years ago I expanded my growing adventure from a 'veg patch' at home to an allotment. I've always saved seeds to share with friends, however now that I have a little more time on my hands I decided that I would seed collect on a larger scale.
I source heirloom seeds to grow from, rotate crops and most importantly never use harmful pesticides. My seeds are amateur, non GMO and open pollinated. I grow, hand pollinate (where required) save and pack my own seeds. The seeds that I sell are not from any other suppliers.
You'll also see from the Seed Shop that I'm a little obsessed with Heirloom Tomatoes, who wouldn't be all those shapes, sizes, all the colours of the rainbow quite literally, there's nothing quite like the flavour of a home grown tomato, wouldn't you agree?
All seed and variety images are my own as are the hands that you may see in some!

WHY organic?
Organic gardening helps prevent a loss of topsoil and the death of insects, birds, bees, butterflies and other beneficial soil organisms. As well as eliminating toxic residues left on food from synthetic fertilisers.
no dig
Involves growing crops that can be reached by narrow pathways. The beds are not trodden on, soil organisms when fed by surface mulches of organic matter create a crumb like structure within a firm soil.
heirloom varieties
A seed variety is typically considered an heirloom if it existed more than 50 years ago and are open pollinated.
Sustainable growing
Is all about growing food without depleting natural resources. I start off my seeds using peat free compost or coir.
